So there weren't dinosaurs during the Renaissance?
Here is a paper that destroys the youth earth creationist claim that dinosaurs were running around during the Renaissance. Their "evidence" was basically a 17th-century version of the Fiji mermaid. The dinosaur was made from dog, bear, beaver, and fish bones and fake sculpted wings, tail, and skin.

I guess I'm just upset that only 300 years separated me from playing piggyback with a dinosaur.

Ya know what is weird. I actually think that it's possible that some form of very large, rarely seen bird exists, or did exist , (not dinos), perhaps on an off-shore island in South America, that might account for some of the "sightings" that ya hear about of very large birds. It would be cool if they found either a nest, or the remains of one.

There were dinosaurs were running around during the Renaissance, just under a different name.
We now refer to them as birds.

No, actually. Lizards did not descend from dinosaurs.

Humans can also be regarded as dinosaurs' decedents, only if Pelycosaurs are considered as a kind of dinosaur.

But they aren't, so we aren't.
