So, what's a nice person like you doing in a place like this?
On a Skype call, a few of us were chatting about what brought us to this forum.

I believe that I had liked the Dawkins site and someone referenced TTA or Seth.

I followed that link and got sucked in.

You?

Some person was outraged on YT comment section that somebody didn't use "fanart from one of the forum members" for the 100'th podcast. I thought "There's a forum? Well, why not?." That's pretty much it.

I joined around the time DOMA was being heard in the Supreme Court and was in the mood to talk politics. Had heard the podcast a few times and joined up here.

I was searching for podcasts to listen to at work and found Seth's. I was hooked right away on the podcasts. Then I searched for his videos and along the way found the forum. I have been an atheist for a long time and was happy to find so many others.

Hmmm. I guess I just stumbled around different sites, being new to atheism and all. I really liked Seth's youtube videos and came wondering in here. I lurked for a while, never having been involved with a forum anywhere and one day decided to join. Everyone here seemed interesting and you all had such a good rapport with each other, seemed like a good place. Thumbsup

I was basically looking for atheists material, debates with hitchens, dawkins then found some funny stuff on dark matter which eventually led me to the podcast and seth's videos and started listening. I tried similar podcasts but they kind of lack substance. Seth got it right. A few podcasts later I figured why not try the forum. Meet people with similar interests especially when I seem to be the only one in my town. What really got me was the intros "It is quite alright to be an atheist. You don't have to be apologetic or quiet about it."

oh..100th post. Good timingSmile
