If thou taketh a wife of later years, whose vagina hath gone all loose and saggy, do not despair, for the Lord thy God has made woman with many openings.

And then there is this giant magical man in the sky, who controls everything, and he was so happy that this man was willing to let his daughters get gang raped by an entire town that he decided it's good to let your daughters get gang raped by an entire town, but sodomy is now bad.

Hope that clears it up.

Um you forgot the part about the man and his daughters having a drunken threesome fuckathon in the next paragraph or so.

My 'life verse'. Hilarious. I've seen different interpretations on whether that verse contemplates oral.

I'm going to defer to Hitchens on this one.

Christopher Hitchens Wrote:Nothing optional—from homosexuality to adultery—is ever made punishable unless those who do the prohibiting (and exact the fierce punishments) have a repressed desire to participate. As Shakespeare put it in King Lear, the policeman who lashes the whore has a hot need to use her for the very offense for which he plies the lash.

The quote from Hitchens is great.

I think at this point it's clear that church authorities are definitely into sodomy, and they most likely always have been.

Because it casues earthquakes. So stop doing it.

It is a teaching contained in the Jerusalem Talmud chapter 9 section 2:

[E] Said R. Aha, “[The earth quakes] on account of the sin of homosexual acts. God said, ‘You made your genitals throb in an unnatural act. By your life, I shall shake the earth on account of [the actof] this person’". (p.335)

For those of you--from the the USA that are apparently incapable of doing otherwise--that are going to confine your scorn and vitriol to Chistians, stop and consider where these supersitions came from. Also consider that Orthodox and Ultra-Orthodox Jews still believe that one of the cause of earthquakes is sodomy. The Westboro Baptist Church are typically characterised as nutters because they see the wrathful hand of God in every natural and man-made disaster. But so too do pious Jews and it is from them that this superstition originates yet we don't hear or read any criticism of Jews--the historical and theological taproot of this supersition--lest we be labelled "anti-semitic".

The reflexive response from Americans here is "Oh but the Jews don't shove their beliefs in anyone's face". To that I respond:

(1) The Israel/Jewish lobby has a heavy influence on US foreign policy and consequently the foreign policy of its allies;

(2) The state of Israel has been the recipient of billions of dollars of foreign aid from the USA (and other nations);

(3) Orthodox and Ultra-Orthodox Jews don't minister to gentiles because they deem them "spiritually" inferior not because of some respect of liberal ideals. Refer pages 43-47 (original pagination) of Lessons in Tanya: Volume I; and

(4) If you are of Jewish ethnic extraction you are subject to proselytisation efforts by Ultra-Orthodox Jewry.

The elephant in the room is that Jews--a Middle-Eastern ethnicity--have utterly debased Western thought. Anyone that doubts this can read pre-Christian Greek philosophy and can also read Jewish gloating about this destruction (that book is from Maurice Samuel, it is not some "anti-semitic forgery").

Power and crowd control. If you look closely, is not just about sex, is about every human need, don't eat pork or red meat on fridays, use this or that kind of clothes, don't drink liquor or coffee, clean yourself in this or that way, don't accept blood or organ donations, and so on...

It's like kids playing, one comes along and starts making up rules for the game, at first the others don't know how to respond, but if one says the rule is true then the others just follow as a flock, that establishes a basis for authority, from then on, all the doubts about the game will be answered by the one making things up.

Then comes the nerdy guy and asks why we should accept that rule, it's arbitrary and it doesn't make sense, he questions the authority, but by then everyone already identifies with that set of rules, they have a common code and language, they have a system and if someone questions it, then he is threatening the whole group, and so they cast the nerdy guy away...

And on and on until you get a church and millions of blind sheep, and a small group of nerdy people looking bewildered by the amount of stupidity they see.
So the nerdy group finds some ground rules and try to build from there, trusting they won't fall for the same ludicrous behaviour, but little do they know that sooner or later they will fall, they will make their own games and their own rules, they'll follow a leader, and when they are in doubt they'll ask the leader for answers and then the arbitrary rules come up, they might even seem reasonable at first, but at some point the cycle will repeat Smile

I saw a documentary a few days ago on the Hittites... Absolutely every aspect of people's lives were governed by their king, and even the smallest complaint or questioning would get you executed. The king was considered infallible, and every citizen had to agree with him... forming what they termed the "brotherhood".

An almost perfect Bronze Age version of Fascism... Unsurprisingly, the Hittite empire collapsed due to rebellion.

Based on the Old Testament, I think its fairly reasonable to think that the Israelites had a similar system. Absolute control, absolute conformity and a culture built on warfare.

And things haven't changed that much, we have more flexibility now, but that flexibility serves to preserve the distribution of power as it is. We're slower and more primitive than we want to accept Weeping
