I see you are very skeptical and do your due diligence with much seriousness and because of that I want you to be the first I make the following offer to; I can get you in the ground floor of a new toll bridge that will be built between Key West and Havana. The upside is huge! We are now taking $500 investments that could triple in value by year end.

Sound good? Are you a player?

So what? So does just about every culture that lived near water (which is most ancient cultures). This has already been explained to you. Unregulated bodies of water tend to flood periodically. This says nothing about a "worldwide" flood.

And there you have it: the glowing, self-assured confidence of subjective certainty, whereby nothing - not facts, not data, nothing - will change one's mind.

Don't you suppose they know they're right as well? What really separates you? I don't know who is right regarding whatever it is you all have in mind when you talk of the 'supernatural'. But I do know I don't believe in anything that belongs to that category. Instead I think the natural world is far more robust than you suppose. Oh and all indications are that no one is going to heaven or anywhere else when they die. We all belong to the web of life and that is where we'll stay, every speck of us.

How many times i have to say it i believe in all religions were all right and i think our energy surpasses the natural world i believe its an evolutionary step and one day well move objects with our mind. Energy is the supernatural does a tree fall if your not there i mean the cat can be dead and alive and somebody sees a train moving before somebody else does.

Good god, man. Take your damned medication, would you?

I did see that. That's why I said "India" in my reply.

Below is a map of the Middle East. See where Pakistan and India (the areas where Hinduism sprang up) border Iran?

This was the extent of the Sumerian Empire, from which the Epic of Gilgamesh emerged, and from which the Genesis flood was "borrowed".

Think that stories like that didn't spread out along the trade routes the caravans followed? How do you think the Hebrews got the story in the first place?

More importantly, why doesn't the story appear in anyone's legends until after they have had contact with people from the region of Sumeria?

(Yes, that includes Abraham "of the Chaldees", since Chaldea was where Sumeria used to be... though Chaldea was nonexistent until about 700 years after you seem to think Genesis was written, so it's an odd thing to call him if you're right.)
