I know you're not going to really read my replies closely, or really learn how to think, kid, but because I think it's important to answer bullshit for the sake of people spectating this forum, I'll unpack this one.

Wow. You have ZERO sense of irony.

Yeah, we all get that part. But the Bible is the claim, not the evidence. In the few places where it claims to provide such evidence, scholarship in areas like archaeology show that the stories are... not a good match for the other evidence, to put it mildly.

What we don't understand is why you refuse to really educate yourself about why it's a bad idea to uncritically accept what any scripture tells you.

Um, I'm assuming you mean 5000 years, not 50K... but that aside, we know damned well that people know more today than they knew back in the Bronze and Iron Ages. People back then had no idea about Germ Theory, Atomic Theory, Quantum Theory, Kinetics Theory, the Theories of General/Special Relativity, or the Theory of Evolution. Just to name a few. They were making the best guesses they could, but they were spectacularly wrong on nearly every one of them, as modern methods of learning have demonstrated. They weren't even aware that the earth goes around the sun.

So, no, they didn't know what we know today. And by continuing to believe that they did, you're just keeping yourself ignorant and looking like a fool to people who bothered to learn this stuff.

This is absolute nonsense. Not every society comes from European society, first of all, and the Dark Ages did not affect the entire globe.

I just posted about SpaceX launching a satellite to geosynchronous orbit (meaning so high up that it orbits over the same spot on the earth's surface... it's pretty far up). We did that. And if previous societies had been so advanced, they'd have done that, too. We'd have found evidence of landings on the moon, satellite junk in orbit-- some would have fallen back into the atmosphere after a few thousand years, but some of it would not, since there's little to degrade the materials or the orbit once you're far enough above the atmosphere.

I know you like books by "ancient wisdom" proponents and conspiracy theorists, but they're just counting on your gullibility and inability to think critically, in order to sell their products.

It's hard to admit you've been fleeced, I know, so I can understand why you cling so desperately to these beliefs even when we point out simple things to you that show why the things you believe simply cannot be true.

So, as EK (I think) once told you, keep on truckin' pal.
