RE: Special Time TTA CONFESSION BOOTH
OK, here's 3 at one time. I used to be a serious hot rod kind of guy. I've built many cars to race, and have built at least 3 that would exceed 140 MPH. First was a '69 Camaro that I drove to Illinois from California to US Navy A-School. I did that when the speed limit in Nevada was "unlimited". During another of those times I blew my engine up ('66 Pontiac Le Mans with an RA III 400 in it) driving across the Nevada desert (what part of Nevada AIN'T desert :dodgySmile. In that particular case, I had passed dozens of cars before the thing went kerflooey. A lot less than the number of cars I had passed went by before the Nevada Highway Patrol pulled up to ask if I needed help. (They knew I was out there!). I should have said yes, as I ended up thumbing it into Goldfield, Nevada (just west/east/north/south of NOWHERE), until I could get a tow. But I was really low on money and had to call in some family to get me out of there. The National speed limit of 55 MPH was in effect at the time. Big time, had I been caught. Then, I built a '65 Malibu with a 327 that could really lay 'em down. That ended up totaled against the side of a mountain and burning to the ground. #4- Now that I think of it, I also drove my Harley over 100 MPH on an old highway that was posted for 40 MPH. Bless me, father, I'm sure I'll be back with more shit as I think about it. Yes

Laugh out load I like to joke around.

I had a '61 Studebaker Lark VIII convertible when I was in HS. If I put down the top and lowered the front seat backs to horizontal, I could actually see the stars in my girlfriend's eyes. Angel

No, I got caught.

I hope (since you got caught) that it was at some rockin' muscle car and not some lame family sedan? Cool

It was about ten cars, none rockin' muscle cars, but all unlocked. Willie and I had two car stereos, a set of night-vision binoculars, a Betamax, four cases of casette tapes, about five hundred dollars in cash, and an ounce of what smelled like some really good skunk, which we never got to try for obvious reasons. Also, some tools, and a roach clip made from deer antler.

Family sedans were involved, surprisingly enough.

I'm pretty sure there was an AMC Gremlin involved.

A few years ago I bought a classic 1966 Lincoln Continental and used to go out at 1am on the Cherokee Turnpike and crank it up to 120. Smile It was like floating on a cloud.

In 1974 I had 69' Chevy Malibu with a 283 small block that I used to race on I-70 in KC. Never got caught.
