Splitting Threads
Please can we have a new policy regarding thread splitting?

If a thread is split, could an explanatory OP be added (i.e. a new first post) that covers:

1. A link to the original thread
2. The reason for the split.

Reason for asking:
I saw this... http://www.thethinkingatheist.com/forum/...d-argument
It starts with a reply (with no context) and was at 17 pages when I first noticed it.
So, like, man, WTAF is going on?

Cheers

It's just FZU coming back to stir shit.
It'll pass.

Might be. It certainly looks like someone who's been here before. Consider

1. Sure, smartypants, in that example but only because there was a reply.
2. If that is always the reason, I'm happy to accept it as the default.

That's the reason nearly 99% of the time including the thread you mentioned.

I'll ask KC and aurora. The potential problem is that I don't think there's a way to insert a post into a thread. The only way it may be possible is to edit the first post of the split and add in a message from the Mod who split it. Some people get kinda touchy about that kinda stuff though.

Best and worst of Ferdinand .....
Best
Ferdinand: We don't really say 'theist' in Alabama. Here, you're either a Christian, or you're from Afghanistan and we fucking hate you.
Worst
Ferdinand: Everyone from British is so, like, fucking retarded.
