RE: Spoiler about Mars secret?
I find the notion of currently animated life on Earth is wishful thinking. Perhaps evidence could indicate previous life there, but I find current life unlikely.

E 2 = (mc 2)2 + (pc )2
614C → 714N + e + ̅νe
2 K(s) + 2 H2O(l) → 2 KOH(aq) + H2 (g) + 196 kJ/mol
It works, bitches.

Amino acids are not life.
Microbes are life.
And if microbes can survive and thrive under miles of ice in Antarctica they can also survive and thrive in Mars' atmosphere.
Today.

And as an extension of that logic it must also be considered very possible that there is life on some asteroids, Venus, and Mercury. After all, microbes can also survive under millions of pounds of pressure in boiling hot water and temperatures of up to 600 degrees Celsius (1,100ºF) in the volcanic 'chimneys', or 'stacks' on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Very extreme environments also. A lot like on the inner planets!

Gonna be a short revision in the history books. Organic compounds that are probably there because dinosaur bits got blown to Mars 65 million years ago.
