RE: Spoiling yourself
I quit having my nails done as it was something that I had to schedule to keep them from looking bad after a time.

But I do enjoy a nice pedicure. Being broke lately and also being winter (though you wouldn't know it with 80 degree temps) means that I am wearing shoes and boots and not sandals. I am looking forward to a nice pedicure in a few weeks and getting my sandals out and ready for wear.

I also could really use a haircut...maybe next month. I am growing it out again but it really needs to be trimmed and neatened up a bit. I do go to a nice (though not top of the line) salon. Oh yeah, and the eyebrows need some work.

March is going to be the month for focusing on those things. Smile

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

RE: Spoiling yourself
Every Tuesday I go to the movies for $5 Tuesday. It's the only hours of the week where I am 100% totally unreachable. Sometimes, if I'm hungry and/or depressed, I also splurge and spend the money on a burger and fries for the movie from the restaurant in the theater; never do get a drink from the bar in it though.

Need to think of a witty signature.

Hot showers. Just letting it run and not caring how much water I use.

RE: Spoiling yourself
About once a month (more often in the summer) I treat myself to a top-shelf rib-eye or T-bone or porterhouse steak cooked on the grill.

The fixin's vary. In the spring it's often asparagus, in the summer it's usually corn on the cob. And usually black beans and rice, though sometimes it's potato - fries or baked.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

I literally just heard a friend in my head, while reading FC and Jenny's joking, saying "y'all need Jesus". I also enjoy long hot showers and baths; if a bath, with a book, some vanilla bubble bath, and a bottle of water.
