As it is said in this song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJlbPXZEpRE) you can never again see the Star Wars that you used to know. 40 Years and still there are no DVD or Bluray editions of the ORIGINAL movies, just Special Editions.

Luckily for you, the great people of The Internet made Despecialized versions of the movies, so now you can have original movies in 720p without any BS from Lucas.

If you read about what and how they made all this, you'll be amazed at the level of detail and the quality of the movies. The colors are better and more realistic in Despecialized editions than they are in Specialized editions. Lucas's Industrial Light and Magic made Spec Edit and they are the best visual effects studio in the world, yet, people from the internet came together and made everything even better.

A great project that saved the original movies.

P.S.

Not only that Han shot first, but he was the only one that fired. Han fired alone!!

The plot of every Star Wars Movie......

PEW PEW PEW, BOOM BOOM BOOM, PEW PEW PEW, BOOM BOOM PEW PEW PEW, THE END.

I loved the original 3 but lost interest in the ones that followed.

Yeah, episodes 1 2 3 are not that good. But Rogue One and Episode 7 are back on the good track, especially Rogue One.

RE: Star Wars - 40 years ago
I was on the verge of adolescence when the movie came out, and back then, I'd only seen a handful of Disney movies in a theatre, and so any movie not aimed at children was going to blow me away.

On top of that, I'd started to really get into science fiction in a big way (Bradbury, Asimov, Heinlein...)

I remember coming out of the theatre and being completely stunned. And totally in love with Luke Skywalker.
Saw the movie another 7 times that summer.

Until that point I hadn't really known what I wanted to do with my life. Saw that movie and KNEW I wanted to be a pilot. (Changed my mind later, but not before earning my glider wings).

I really have no idea what my life would have been like if that movie had never been made.
