They're with the PIN numbers that people use at the ATM machines.

I always called it a "water heater".

Hot water heater seemed redundant.

Am I wrong?

No, you are correct. All those people who call it a "hot water heater" (and there are a lot of them) are speaking redundantly.

Dammit. I'm guilty of a lot of these. Blush

All y'all - check
Hot water heater - check
Timeclock - check (it specifically refers to the thingy on the wall that I use to swipe my badge - "Don't forget to clock in at the timeclock")
PIN number - check

Do you think they spell it sent or sunt? For example, a lot of black people in my area pronounce pencil like "puncil".

I actually like things like "all y'all" and "might could" -- even though they may be redundant and/or bad grammar, they are part of "southern charm" -- and I'm a sucker for that.

I seriously did not know until the Dark Light thread resurrection(was that yesterday or today...so tired, everything runs together) that might could was a grammatical error or a southernism.

Isn't it spelled ├žunt? Consider
That's an acronym...

Oooo here's a fun one that'll crawl under all y'all's skin:

Vienna sausages. Pronounced "Vie - eenies" with a very southern I - so more like vah-eenies

I figured out in high school that wasn't how it was supposed to be pronounced. Facepalm
