Not surprising that "The Four Horsemen" make up their top 4, but it is a nice list.

I was struck by this part about Sam Harris - "Though finding religion a bad idea generally, he is open to certain aspects of the paranormal, which raises eyebrows among some atheists." I haven't gotten around to reading any of Sam's books, but does anybody know what they're referring to here?

Our brains deceive us on a regular basis, so we have to find ways to fight back.

Sam has more of an open mind then say Dawkins for example. He simply entertains the idea to STUDY such possible claims SCIENTIFICALLY. I do believe he is misunderstood and has corrected himself several times about such topics. It's the close minded, dogmatic "THERE IS NO GOD, NOTHING!!!" type Atheists that don't seem to understand him. He even wrote a follow up book "Letter to a Christian Nation" which he goes over some things from his first book. (For the record, if you've read the first book carefully, I don't think it's worth the time to bother with this mini-book.)

End Of Faith is an excellent book, I liked it more then God Delusion. Sam is brilliant. Check out these videos from him as well, really opened up my mind as to what Atheism is really about

Thanks for the info. I am a big Sam Harris fan, but my only exposure to him has been videos and a few articles of his that I've read. I also saw him on a History channel special about the brain.

I'm hoping to read one of his books soon.
