None of those governments wanted to be doing anything. Hardly makes sense they'd want to drum up support for it.

I believe that you are an idiot.

If you had bothered to read the linked article:

Quote:The findings of the report are based on an intensive investigation, which was carried out over the course of one year, from December 2015 to December 2016. It involved first-hand interviews with 84 witnesses that included former Saydnaya guards and officials, detainees, judges and lawyers, as well as national and international experts on detention in Syria.

Which cites an additional report from 2016:

Quote:A previous report published in August 2016, for which Amnesty International partnered with a team of specialists at Forensic Architecture, University of Goldsmiths to create a virtual 3D reconstruction of Saydnaya prison, estimated that more than 17,000 people have died in prisons across Syria as a result of the inhuman conditions and torture since the Syrian crisis began in 2011. This figure does not include the estimated 13,000 additional deaths as a result of the extrajudicial executions exposed in this report.

Literally, dozens if not scores of articles:
Amnesty International Search: syria atrocities

This has been discussed in numerous articles since the revolution began in the Arab Spring.

Oh, wait. That was probably a conspiracy too...

Yeah, I guess the U.S. didn't want to get involved in Iraq or overthrow Iran either... oh wait. Do not take the physical appearance of inaction to mean that someone is not doing something. There is a pattern clearly laid out of where their footsteps have been previously. They were twenty feet away to the left, an now they are ten feet away on the right but you never saw them move... because you blinked.

That is a lot easier thing to live with than saying 'we're the bad guys'.

Well, there's that whole list of EVIDENCE that I cited and you ignored.

And, BTW, I previously cited a number of crimes that my government has admitted to or been proven to be complicit in. But you ignored that too, didn't you?

If this is a case of propaganda, which I believe it is, then you showing me the other stories on the website where this originated from would not be considered by me to be anything but potential propaganda.

Also an incredibly easy way to deceive yourself as not being able to be held responsible for the actions of ones government.

You shouldn't brush this off as "oh yea, but I'm sure the other side does bad shit too so whatever".
It doesn't matter what anyone else has done, 13,000 people have been executed because they were believed to oppose the government or whatever.

It doesn't matter if the other side butchers 26,000 orphaned children with a spoon, it doesn't take away that 13,000 people were killed.
If the other side commits atrocities, that's a separate issue.

That 13,000 people have potentially been killed. Given how recent this report is, I'm guessing that the people on this beloved green earth haven't exactly had the time to cross check its authenticity.

But no if you want to jump on that lynch wagon you go right on ahead. I mean hell you fellows already lynched Saddam and Gaddafi... but somehow Netanyahu still remains I mean if we're talking about individuals who are genocidal oppressors...

All of you seem to have a very poor understanding of political science.

I'll take non-falsifiable for $1000, Alex.
