RE: TPP
The UK joined the European Union under the pretext of "Trade ties" and now we are ruled to a certain degree by Brussels.

Fuck em all, fucking shit stained, bag of wanking, bareback, roughneck, immoral, psychotic, money grabbing, propagandering, power mongering, earth destroying, greedy patenting, future closing, sons of whoring bitches born with a silver spoon up their arses.

A curse on them and all of their unborn and inbred children. I hope they all die a fucking horrible and excruciating death full of the same sorrow that they inflict on this planet and everything that exists on it.

Angry

Wankers.

For no matter how much I use these symbols, to describe symptoms of my existence.
You are your own emphasis.
So I say nothing.

Well according to Ghost (on another thread) that makes you intelligent.

And according to Plato, you must be the wisest man in all of Greece.

But the serious answer is that it's not about having NOBODY with power making the rules. The official governance best practice says that "Governance is about negotiating and deciding amongst different stakeholders’ value interests".

The balance shifts between three factors:
Realising Benefits
Resource Optimisation
Risk Optimisation

Principles, policies, standards and frameworks are then derived from this.

The question is then about:
Who is involved in the negotiation and what interests do they represent?

Hence my list in post #2.

Power, over the centuries, has slowly been moving down that list.

The interest group represented in HoC's vid in post #1 is gaining ground compared to e.g. 200 years ago.
But it would probably take a World War and a subsequent labour shortage or a world-altering natural global disaster to shift the balance away from the Merchants in the short and medium term.

Please send your two Texan chicks to DLJ, Chinatown, Singapore.

Cheers.

Here's the whole problem with collective governance. I don't profess to know how others should live their lives. Likewise, I don't accept that others know best how I should live mine.

So it doesn't matter to me who is making the rules, because as long as there is someone making them, no one is free to pursue the best course for themselves. Political discourse is really nothing more than a giant argument over who should be holding the gun and who they should be pointing the gun at.

All I'm saying is, put the gun down. Then we can talk.
