What makes it worth to stay?

Rev, if it's possible, on your birthday I'm going to dress up like one of the 80's wrestling legends to cut a happy birthday promo for you via Skype. I'll try to make it a lot like this:

If the new 18+ thread is any indication I'm with you!

But I do!

I hate touching other people! Makes me feel uncomfortable...

I always feel bad about derailing a serious thread, but watching where conversations go on dead threads or troll threads is my favorite thing here. I loved it when some troll comes here, thinks he's going to crap all over our fun, and then ends up leaving exasperated because we didn't play by the rules and just went on and on about some unrelated, but interesting, stuff.

Yeah, this place suits my ADD very well. Switching gears and topics between threads is... OOh look! An eagle!

Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.

The forum members. You lot are a great bunch of people! Straight talking and honest. I also find the forum very educational, I've learnt many new things.

And of course there's good craic (fun) to be had. I've laughed out loud many a time after reading some of the more amusing posts. Big Grin

Not that simple, Grammatik-Nazi:

"Americans tend to treat collective nouns as single units, so it’s more common to use the singular verb unless you’re definitely talking about individuals. So in America you would be more likely to hear “The faculty is meeting today” than “The faculty are meeting today.”

In British usage, however, it’s the opposite; it’s more common to use the plural verb. In fact, some sentences that are perfectly correct in Britain would be considered incorrect in America. Take “Cambridge are winning the boat race.” Although I spent my elementary-school years in London, I have been fully Americanized, so this sentence doesn’t sound right to me. As an American, I would say, “Cambridge is winning.”

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.
