RE: TTA's Words of Wisdom.
Appparently my post didn't take last night....thats weird I'll try again.

I have a small metal decorative paper wait with a quote on it from Johnathan Swift that states " May you live every day of your life"

I think this is some of the best advice out there. Smile

Can you teach me how to do it? I'd love to be able to fool myself into believing one or two things Confused

RE: TTA's Words of Wisdom.
You probably never will.....Just like the religious you will doubt what you are trying to force yourself to believe. So you'll try to force others to believe the same way, to comfort yourself and stifle doubt Wink

That'd help... if I cared what others think. Tongue I guess self-knowledge is the ultimate, unvanquishable enemy...

But your description sure fits a lot of people (and some TTA members) to a tee.

Lol. Yeah I stopped caring what other people thought long ago. I'm just myself and hope for the best *shrug*

I do think however, that you are a very nice person! Big Grin

Don't you mean to say that you commend it to God and leave it in His hands Tongue

RE: TTA's Words of Wisdom.
This metaphor has served me well in both my academic and professional career. Words to live by right there.

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.
