I think his school should get something. Would be more useful. It would need to be something lasting to commemorate him while simultaneously being of some benefit to students.

Maybe his family should get something too.

I think that school should be named after him.

I'm unsure about the medal. He absolutely deserves to be remembered as someone who saved other's lives, while losing his.

I think some sort of medal would be beneficial to not only his family, but the community. You should reward brave behavior like this instead of only talking about the Taliban or whoever is there. If you keep focusing on the good, people will look up to that instead of the other.

How about instead of making him a matyr, we solve the issues revolving around why this happened in the first place.
That should be the message out of all this. But nope, that's not gonna happen.

allahu akbar

I'm not quite sure of a martyr, but recognized. That's a step in the right direction at least

No it's not...
The kids dead, it means nothing. All it does is enforces their notion that "allahu akbar" for delivering this child to Earth to save the lives of these other kids. And the religious hatred and fighting continues. Absolutely nothing changes.

Tomorrow it'll be some 8 year old girl with a suicide bomb strapped to her.
Oh wait.. that already happened, just the other day.
