The kids dead, it means nothing. All it does is enforces their notion that "allahu akbar" for delivering this child to Earth to save the lives of these other kids. And the religious hatred and fighting continues. Absolutely nothing changes.

Tomorrow it'll be some 8 year old girl with a suicide bomb strapped to her.
Oh wait.. that already happened, just the other day.

Hmm, didn't think about that...

Teen Sacrifices His Life To Save School
Not sure how a medal helps his family other than emotionally. Don't see how it would help the school at all. I was thinking of something like a new library, or other financial assistance to the school in his name. Promote education, not just honorable deaths.

Yes, this would be great... but at the same time I can see that making the school bigger target for radicals...

HANGU: Representatives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government and Pakistan People’s Party on Monday visited the residence of Aitzaz Hasan.

Advisers to Chief Minister Parvaiz Khattak, Ziaullah Afridi, Amjad Afridi and Ishtiaq Umar and Pakistan People’s Party leader Nighat Orakzai visited the residence of Aitzaz Hasan and offered condolences to the family of the student hero, who sacrificed his life for saving his schoolmates.

The representatives of the chief minister announced a Rs5 million package for the family of the teen hero and renamed his school as the Aitzaz Hasan Shaheed High School.

The provincial government also announced the establishment of a sports stadium in Hangu. The government team told Mujahid Ali, the father of Aitzaz, the financial assistance was meant to acknowledge the sacrifice of Aitzaz Hasan.

Speaking on the occasion, Nighat Orakzai said the provincial government acknowledged the sacrifices after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman reprimanded the government on its inefficiency.

She said that Aitzaz Hasan had laid down his life to save other students, adding that had the bomber reached his target, it would have been a disaster.

KP Governor Shaukatullah also visited the house of Shaheed Aitzaz Hassan on Monday and offered condolences to the bereaved family of the young boy.He placed a floral wreath at the grave of Aitzaz Hassan on the behalf of the president and prime minister. He offered Dua for the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the family over the loss of precious life.

The governor said Aitzaz saved hundreds of other students by challenging the suicide bomber. He said the slain student would be remembered forever for his sacrifice.

PPI adds: Feeling proud, the father of young Aitzaz Hassan vowed that he was ready to sacrifice his other son for the sake of peace in the country saying Aitzaz through his sacrifice gave a message to terrorists that not only security forces but every young man was ready to lay down his life for the sake of the country.

Working in Dubai, Mujahid Ali returned home soon after hearing the news of the death of his younger son. He said through a TV channel he came to know about the blast and tried to call Aitzaz but his cellular phone was off.

He said he was happy instead of feeling sad as hundreds of people came to see him and eulogise Aitzaz for showing extreme bravery. “I told the people to congratulate me for becoming the father of a Shaheed and a person who saved many lives.” Mujahid Ali said he would not hesitate to sacrifice his second son for the sake of the country and peace.

INP adds: The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) has awarded the first Gallantry Award to Aitzaz Hassan for foiling a suicide attack on his school. The award was presented by Director International Human Rights Commission Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan to the father of Aitzaz Hassan‚ Mujahid Ali.

Thanks for the update, nice to see the government actually doing something over there.
Although... "sacrifice his second son"? The fuck? Some father... Riding in the popularity of his son. Come on
