Teen Sex
I think there is a major problem and just blaming religion to the point that the Christians give up is not going to fix it.

Quote:McLEAN, Va. -
Fairfax County police are investigating a makeshift online porn site after a receiving a tip that it was created by students at McLean High School.

Officers served a search warrant at the home of at least one student after receiving the tip last week about boys sharing explicit photos of their female classmates on Dropbox. No charges have been filed, but the school says it is cooperating with the investigation.

RE: Teen Sex
How is this a problem with teens in particular? Sharing explicit photos of other people without those people's permission is a problem ranging multiple age groups. This isn't just some problem you can point to teens being the sole perpetrators of.

As for the whole underage sexting angle, that's normal for them to want to express their sexuality with others at that age, they just need to be smart about how they do it. There isn't anything wrong in the nature of the action itself so much as that it has potential legal consequences for the recipient. It's malum prohibitum, not malum in se. Also, the recipient might share it without the subject's consent, as has likely happened in the cased linked in the article, but this is once again an issue not just restricted to teens.

What does the OP suggest?

A wise person makes their own decisions; an ignorant one follows public opinion.

I am trying to gather my thoughts on the subject, but part of my problem is that I do not understand the girls perspective - I was/am a schmuck.

There seems to be a violation of trust that ultimately spans all generations, as you indicate.

I was naivily reacting to the sensationalism of this particular situation described in the article.

Well, I would say that the actors are jumping through a couple of technoological hoops beyond the natural sexual relationship; and there is a pretty good chance that they were aware that they would be violating law - definitly, beyond "nature."

Wow.

You could convince me that the subject actor of the photos and the photopgrapher were sexually aroused by the photo session, but it gets kind of silly when we suggest that their sexual arousal was sustained by distributing the photos.
