RE: Test for which European political ideology you are closest to
I especially hate the American news media's political terms. It seems everyone is either a liberal, conservative, or libertarian, with all terms being defined in contradicting and overly broad ways. There's also fascist and socialist, but those are just used as insults. Each term has a bunch of beliefs tied to it that have nothing to do with the label, such as liberals being anti-gun and conservatives being anti-environmentalism.

If something can be destroyed by the truth, it might be worth destroying.

The test says Anarcho-communist. Which says nothing about my views, my view is that all social and economic problems can be solved through direct and systematic application of science, technology, philosophy and design. My views are the most radical, yet the most practical of all that I've ever seen and this is why they are very difficult to understand. It means a rejection of all isms, all easy solutions. AFAIK, there is no word for what I am, because there is no ism in it, no ideology, no unchangeable tenet except the scientific method.

I do not believe the dogmas that human needs are infinite, that human nature is fixated in corruption, or that scarcity is a fundamental property of the world. I do not believe in a rational customer or consumer or rational people at all in today's civilization. We are not civilized yet, as long as we have the police, courts, prisons and wars.

I believe nobody has the right to their opinion. If we don't know, we must say "I don't know, got to look that up". I believe nobody should make a decision, we have to arrive at decisions through scientific method or not at all.

Humans did not evolve to work efficiently as employees or to make good government decisions, they evolved to be creative and use instruments, such as computers and automatons. We need machines, so we can live as people. Without machines we'd work as machines ourselves. My views can be summed up by
laissez les machines faire!

I think most folks in the American media have gotten lazy, and it is to the detriment of society. Some "reporters" will simply take a press release they are sent and reprint it nearly verbatim as an article, without doing any work. Some seem to accept whatever a person (be it a government official, businessperson, non-profit spokesperson, whoever) says to them without verifying whether or not it's accurate.

As you point out, there's far more to US politics than just a few labels and uniformity on issues for those labels. Digging deep into issues is not the media's strong suit (I don't know if they have any strength at all anymore).

Yeah, I got social liberal as well. I presumed so, that's pretty close to how I would identify. Pretty good test.

They're still pretty good at race baiting and expressing biases Thumbsup

I got market liberal, 100%, anarcho-capitalist, 90%, and social liberal, 70%. The rest is 50% or lower. Basically I believe in free-markets and freedom of choice on social issues.
