Thanksgiving?
How do guys do it at your place?
Me, my mom, my brother, his whore, his ex-wife, my uncle, and creepy 2nd cousins will sit in resentful silence over Duck à L'Orange and apple treacle tart. At least until someone digs up family secrets and then the screaming starts. |

RE: Thanksgiving?
My husband, son, and I will have turkey, mashed potatoes, and all the other traditional stuff and then they will alternate between watching football and napping. No one else will be here this year. Will be a quiet day of good food and laziness. And I will start studying for finals.
Basically a day like any other weekend day, except with more food. See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF |

We have Ungrateful Selfish day.
Theism is to believe what other people claim, Atheism is to ask "why should I". |

RE: Thanksgiving?
On the actual day? Nothing. (Of course, that could change if I start a life with someone) Thanksgiving isn't a day for me. It's a time of year. A whole month when I shovel in turkey and stuffing and mashed potatoes and pies.
Then again, that's just me taking advantage of the culinary choices available, rather than any sort of celebration of an event. I don't celebrate events. Through profound pain comes profound knowledge. Ridi, Pagliaccio, sul tuo amore infranto! Ridi del duol, che t'avvelena il cor! |

RE: Thanksgiving?
I've been asked if I celebrate Thanksgiving as an atheist by someone at work one time. *chuckle*
But back on topic..... I'll pre-make my part of the dinner the night before to bake/ cook in the morning, and then me and my boyfriend will head to my mums house once I get off work, My mum, sisters, my sisters kids and some family friends will be there. We will laugh, and eat, and probably play Rockband/Guitar Hero. ![]() |

RE: Thanksgiving?
Ours is crazy, we have a total of five family events. Just had our second today. I love my family but the holidays are long.... And busy
I hope that the world turns, and things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you. - V for Vendetta |
