Thanksgiving
To me, being thankful or grateful requires a recipient of that gratitude. When it comes to Thanksgiving, I suppose most people are expressing their thanks to God. So I dnt really get the whole gratitude thing. There are certainly many ways in which I'm fortunate, but that's just acknowledging my luck. I'm lucky to have a family I love and who loves me. But thankful? Who should I thank?

What do you think?

RE: Thanksgiving
I think you can simply be thankful without thanking anyone in particular. Being thankful is simply recognizing your good fortune and recognizing that there are also some people who are not as fortunate.

@DonaldTrump, Patriotism is not honoring your flag no matter what your country/leader does. It's doing whatever it takes to make your country the best it can be as long as its not violent.

RE: Thanksgiving
You could be thankful to the people who are actually responsible for whatever you're thankful for.

"I'm thankful to my family for my family."

"I'm thankful to the farmers for our food."

"I'm thankful to the doctors for our health."

Popcorn I put more thought into fiction than theists put into reality.

I'm waiting for the right moment to say "I'm thankful that religion died out"

RE: Thanksgiving
I'm thankful for all my family and friends.
Thankful simply means that you appreciate someone or something.
I appreciate all that science has done to make this world a healthier and better place to live. I'm thankful for that.

I'm also thankful for every curve on a woman's body and that includes all curvy brainy parts too.

RE: Thanksgiving
I'll be even more thankful when today is over.

Shopping and decorating.

Thanksgivng is just the beginning.

Come to think I maybe more thankful come January.

That said, I am thankful for all the people here on this forum.

You all keep me sane.

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces
