Here's the list:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_100_Bes...f_All_Time

I plan on finding audiobooks (unabridged) of each one. For those that I can't, i'll get physical copies.

I want to finish them all. Preferably listening to them as I do something else, mainly when walking to or from places, or exercising.

I'd like to hear some reviews. Even if you didn't like a book, could you see why it might be called one of the best books of all time?

I've read more than I thought I had when I opened the link.

The Canterbury Tales; only because it was required in school.
Lolita; again, for school.
Metamorphoses; for school.
Hamlet; same reason as above.
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn; for a book report.

To be honest, I would not voluntarily read any of those books. The best is quite subjective, and I find classics to be quite boring.

I've read maybe 5 and only parts of 5 more.

Like Foxen, many classics seem boring to me.

"The best" probably means "the most important, taking in account the time they were written". I mean, yeah, the Odyssey is very important and quite beautiful at times, but it's almost impossible to read it all without getting awfully bored.

They don't seem to know the difference between books and plays.

One of my first thoughts as well.

Not that there is really a word encompassing literature, theatre, and poetry...

I've read a dozen of those.
This might be a better list:

I'm at a dozen or so for this list. There are a couple more I'd like to read, but I haven't even heard of a lot of these.

I'm going to go through them chronologically, taking a little trip through human history. I already have the first few ready to go.

From what little preliminary research I did, the themes seem to be about human nature and society - fanciful epics that also comment on humanity. That would be a good criteria for "best of all time". We'll see..
