Yeah, it is pretty long being very in depth and thorough. I've been at it in bits and pieces all day with only the last hour to go.
I found it broken into separate episodes here http://video.pbs.org/program/ascent-of-money/

Professor Ferguson touches on many things I've always wondered about, early Jewish bankers, the Rothchilds, East India Co. and then makes the connections to how and why things are the way they are today.

Muffs, you'd prolly find his book in a public library I'm sure.
