Please tell us more about your father’s service.

RE: The Battles of WWII quiz
24 out of 30. A fun quiz. I've always been interested in WW2. Recently my brother found a film on Youtube, Closing in on Tunisia (1943). A clip of about fifteen seconds shows the battle of Medjez El Bab. It shows Churchhill tanks on Banana Ridge looking down on the battle below. You can see ME 109s dropping bombs etc.... It's strange watching this as it is the battle that my Grandfather fought and died in.

I lost interest after that. I've known about Brody for years. If you got 30 out of 30, shame shame shame. Big Grin

Confirmation.

It is arguable; it depends on what one measures.

I'm not going to argue with the top historian in the field.

However, the Russians have still not shared all the information. Much of it remains hidden or untranslated.

Have you watched the lecture?

I feel the same way watching footage of 8th AF raids on Germany; my grandfather was a navigator on a -17 and was killed in 1943. "Was that the one?"

RE: The Battles of WWII quiz
I found another quiz on WWII, considerably harder.

I tried that quiz twice, but my results wouldn't log. Wasn't terribly hard, except a couple of questions that went to motivation rather than events.
