How can you not imagine it? Tell me, can you comprehend the size of the universe? Can you understand the idea of nothingness? Can you imagine the age of the universe? If you can do any of that, it is a simple task to imagine the preservation of identity via inorganic methods. Now, to explain how one do that is a different story. Then again, we have trouble explaining a lot of things. Like dark matter, nothingness, and the multiverse.

Despite aspects of neurology, genes, neurons, synapses etc there are people who have claimed psychic contact with people thousands of miles apart, often a warning of some type.
Could not a de thawed healthy brain possibly be kept in a basin and while attached to a computer lead a meaningfull existence of sorts?
