The Contentious Opinions Thread
If there's one thing that the Internet loves other than cats and porn, it's verbal fisticuffs. So I figured that due to the relative lack of controversy on the forum as of late, why not give our unspent pummeling rage an outlet in which to pound away. Share your controversial opinions here and duke it out with people you disagree with. Do try and keep it relatively civil, we're looking for a cheeky spatting match amongst peers, not balls to the wall vitriolic abuse.

I guess I'll start:
-A large percentage of the big name mainstream pop icons are talentless hacks, or at the very least their record labels are forcing them to be creatively sterile. If you're super into mainstream pop maybe you'll take offense to that.
-I've never seen a person wearing gauges who I didn't think wouldn't look better without them. Gauges are ugly, nobody pulls them off well. I'm sure you gauge lovers will have a verbal smackdown in response to that.
-Saints Row is a vastly superior franchise to the Grand Theft Auto series. GTA fan boys, pick your weapon of choice for dueling.

Okay maybe they weren't that controversial but I'm just trying to get things rolling.

Also, no, I won't debate you about cats, that's too obvious.

Oh noes. Are you telling me my idol Katy Perry is not an *artiste* of the highest quality ? Weeping I will never be the same.

Insufferable know-it-all.Einstein God has a plan for us. Please stop screwing it up with your prayers.

You'd be surprised how defensive people get over a fireworks shooting pair of walking tits. Actually that makes defending Katy Perry sound reasonable, if I owned a pair of tits that could launch Roman candles I'd be pretty protective of them too.

Well, yeah???

As a professional musician I know that most famous people are there for a reason. I have worked with a few. Never met Katy Perry but I know others. Often worthy of respect for the sheer diligence it takes to become and then remain successful. I always tell students, respect every professional musician. It is not an easy gig. The competition is astounding in its size and quality.

NOTE: Member, Tomasia uses this site to slander other individuals. He then later proclaims it a joke, but not in public.
I will call him a liar and a dog here and now.

I have a hard time respecting the autotune though.

I can respect the diligence, although conversely when artists begin respecting the money they make more than the work they produce, my respect for them drops like a rock.

I have a hard time respecting the autotune though.

I prefer to call it the harmonic homicide device. It's fine as a novelty or mixing asset, but the overwhelming obsession the music industry developed for it is sickening.

Breast implants that have nothing to do with reconstruction. Why put yourself through the many risks of surgery when perfectly healthy? Complications from anesthesia, blood clots, infection, leaks, misshapen, etc... Be proud of your small titties, even if you have less than a handful. I mean, I could maybe see it for a chick with Turner Syndrome, but society's obsession with large breasts is frustrating. Look at Tara Reid, for example - beautiful woman, then she goes and has tons of elective botched plastic surgeries, how awful that must have been for her.

And then there's porn with fake boobs - I can't stand porn with fake boobs. I wanna see real boobies, not rocks that bounce weird. Totally ruins it for me - and what's in most porn? Fake boobs. Most thin women are *not* gonna be rockin' 36DDs. 34B sure, 32D yeh. But give me a fucking break, nothing is sexy about giant fake boobs like Pamela Lee Anderson sported all through the 90s.
