When necessity dictates that it's time, our self proclaimed sense of logic will find a good reason to justify it. It always does. And don't knock it til you tried it Tongue

Also bullets are cheaper than social programs. We just need to get away from using multi million dollar a shot smart weapons and get back to good old fashioned face to face brutality. Again, necessity will dictate when this actually happens, because nobody is gonna give up the resource intensive weapons until said resources are no longer available.

I'd hope that having developed civilization we'd be able to find a better solution but I fear that... you are right in the short term. The thing is bullets don't work long term. We reproduce quickly. If my memory of the numbers serves it only took 100 years to go from 1 billion to 7 billion people on the planet. Unless people are willing to contemplate ruthlessly killing *billions* of people, it's not a sustainable solution.

Hmmm... I actually liked Dune, although I'll admit it's overrated, and the sequels get pretty wacky. But it's definitely not the worst SF I've ever read -- and I've never tried to read L. Ron Hubbard. From what I've heard, he's much worse than Herbert.

I take it you've never played the likes of Deus Ex, System Shock 2, Bioshock, or Spec Ops: The Line. All FPS's with strong stories.

Spec Ops: The Line is a amazing game. It makes you feel like a piece of shit and I loved it for that. It was far and away my game of the year when it came out and still sits in my top 5. The others are great as well obviously but Spec Ops: the line was...something else.

Ergo population control seems like a winning strategy.

History, no. Pre history, depends on which version of pre civilization life you buy into. I tend to find the less violent version defined in books like "Sex at Dawn" more rational, and that the chronically violent world we know today didn't emerge until civilization transformed us from a species that depended on cooperation to gather plentiful but hard to access resources to a society that depended on the utilization of resources that are scarce but relatively easy to access once you have the skill to do so, thus introducing the need for geographical control instead of strict egalitarianism.

Nutcases like myself probably would have been exiled from a traditional pre civilization egalitarian society. Today I'm in high demand. Hooray for violence Smile

Perfect music is sterile music.

I mean, I could maybe see it for a chick with Turner Syndrome, but society's obsession with large breasts is frustrating. Look at Tara Reid, for example - beautiful woman, then she goes and has tons of elective botched plastic surgeries, how awful that must have been for her.

One thing that comes to mind for me is what sort of self-image a woman has if she thinks a boob job will make her hotter? Sexiness is in the eyes and lips, in a woman's posture, and most importantly in her behavior and outlook.

But give me a fucking break, nothing is sexy about giant fake boobs like Pamela Lee Anderson sported all through the 90s.

You wouldn't believe how many shitty boob jobs I saw, managing the adult video store I ran back in the 90s. Protip: your nipples should not look like one has a lazy eye.

Well there are some shockers, but most are very good.

Especially when it comes to musicians.

There's an old joke about singers: How do you know when a singer is at your door? They can't find the key and don't know when to come in. Big Grin

Often it is true.

I had to laugh when Donald Trump was quoted as saying he hated Cher's singing because he hates her recent autotuned voice.

Damned if I didn't agree with him. Angry

The thing with breast implants is that many women, as they get older, become top heavy and have a rather matronly look. Implants are going to hasten that look for many women.

The other thing is that breast implants don't last forever. They need to be replaced about every 10 or so years. Ouch.

Just my opinion, but if women want beautiful looking breasts they would be better off keeping their decolletage protected with sunscreen and not out baking in the sun. Size really isn't important.

If one looks at Marilyn Monroe her breasts would be considered almost small compared to some of the sex pots of today. It's crazy.
