Poor guy, he's so stupid. Atheist and secular criticism is more likely to drive theists to prove that criticism wrong. People are simply choosing to spend their money elsewhere. It's called freedom, Mr. Ham.

I haven't watched the video, but in numerous articles he's pretty clear: the failure of the park is all the fault of atheists and the media.

Creationist Ken Ham blames atheists and ‘fake news’ for failing Ark Encounter theme park

Quote:“Sadly, they are influencing business investors and others in such a negative way that they may prevent Grant County, Kentucky, from achieving the economic recovery that its officials and residents have been seeking,” complained Ken Ham, president of Answers in Genesis.

“Why so many lies and misinformation? Simply because we are in a spiritual battle, and the intolerant secularists are so upset with such world-class attraction like the Ark (and Creation Museum) that publicly proclaim a Christian message,” Ham claimed. “They will resort to whatever tactics they deem necessary to try to malign the attractions.”

Not just atheists, Ham also blamed the media for not uncritically repeating his alternative facts.

“Nowadays, it seems very few reporters in the secular media actually want to report facts regarding what they cover as news,” Ham said. “I’ve found that not only do these kinds of reporters generally do very poor or lazy research, they will actually make things up for their agenda purposes.”

That whole right-wing "personal responsibility" thing ain't all it's cracked up to me, is it Ken?

Personal responsibility is good only when we talk about success. For failure someone to shit blame on is needed.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

Mikhail Bakunin.

A fundie Christian blaming atheists for the embarrassing failures of his life?
Must be Wednesday.

Too bad about the park though; the quote "Incest and Genocide park" or "roach-motel for Christians".
It was such a nice, inadvertent monument to the impossibility of the Noah story. Ridiculing Christian claims and punching holes in them is usually our job, but when they try, they do it so much better than us. Laugh out load

Like Hitchens argued in favor of religious studies in school so young people can learn early on how ridiculous it is, I hope the faithful will continue to build similar museums so people will have to confront what they believe in.

"Come and learn what a rampaging murderous monster your parents force you to worship."

I have a website here which discusses the issues and terminology surrounding religion and atheism. It's hopefully user friendly to all.

I'm STILL rooting for an atheist and/or humanist and/or something-else to buy up the place for cheap after it goes bankrupt and gets auctioned off.

And then turn it into a museum about the idiocy of apologetics. Or maybe a museum about the separation of church and state. Either way, the boat building would itself be an exhibit.

Technically, it's already a monument to stupidity. Big Grin

The best news for 6000 years. Well done Ken, you've managed to prove God didn't create anything.
