Because those scheming unelected officials in Brussels will pull a fast one and forever and ever amen, the new pan-European army will enforce the will of the Germans, the Italians, the Dutch and the French on the recalcitrant British.

You will be forced to except euro as your currency by the 2020 , it`s gonna do wonders for your economy.

*accept (they already excepted the euro as their currency Cool )

Recent events have made the British political commentariat more aware than before of just how committed European political leaders are to delivering political union in a Single European State.

It should now be clear that this is not the unlikely ambition of a few starry-eyed visionaries. It is the stated official goal of the Italian Prime Minister, the French President, the German Chancellor, the current and next Presidents of the European Commission, the President of the European Council, and just about every significant mainstream political figure in the Eurozone.

The UK is "closer" to joining the euro than ever before, according to the president of the European commission.

José Manuel Barroso said some British politicians were considering signing up to the single currency in a bid to beat the effects of the global economic crisis.

He told French radio station RTL: "We are now closer than ever before.

"I'm not going to break the confidentiality of certain conversations, but some British politicians have already told me, 'If we had the euro, we would have been better off.'"

William Hague, the shadow foreign secretary, said it was "extraordinary" that the government was "whispering to the EU commission about joining the euro behind the British people's backs".

Plans to create European Super State with central EU government and European army are no secret, and you can`t have one state with different currencies , can you?
And don`t kid yourself that you ill be asked if you want this or not.
Tomorrow is the last time British people will have a real say in what happens to them .

Now I'm undecided with only a day too go Shocking But this must be quite old reporting as the tories have been in power for two terms so William Hague hasn't been in shadow government for ages.

Hmmm...ok? Can you please inform @Mathilda that she doesn`t have to convert pounds to euros all the time.

What's wrong with a European army?

That`s the matter of a whole different debate but what is important is that people know where they are heading for , so they can decide what they want in their future, in the sense that they should understand what they are voting for when voting "remain" or "leave" .

If you think that is a good idea to be part of European Super State vote "Remain" , otherwise vote "Leave".

You can weigh the pros and cons of having a European Super State on your own , but you should know that this is what you are voting for in essence ( in my opinion ) .

No one who moans about a European army ever actually comes out and explains why it's a bad thing. I would just like to hear the reasons rather than have it assumed to always be a bad thing with non-answers such as the one you gave.

How is it different to being in Nato where we have already started specialising? The UK doesn't actually have the means to properly defend its own borders for example.

If we had a European army then we wouldn't have gone to war in Iraq because a single sycophantic prime minister lied and manipulated everyone for example.
