Star wars is fine. I saw it at the cinema in 1977. But it's just a movie. And a pretty simple storyline at that.

Go read The three Musketeers. Now that is an action story and far superior to any film made of it. One of the best rollicking adventures I ever read.

I do not consider stories beneath me. In fact I love them. from Aeschylus and Sophocles to Virgil and Boccaccio and Dante Shakespeare through Milan Kundera and others.

Please do not get me wrong. I am not looking down at anyone. But for some reason both Star Trek and Star Wars seem to have some overriding effect on some. And people often treat it as if it is real. It isn't.

I never thought you did, this was more a friendly aside. Yes some take it too far but that can be said for almost anything.
