.... I guess I can let go of the EU. I can see that Abrams borrowed some of the concepts from the EU while still changing enough of the story to make it his own.

I love the original three, gave the first new one after that a shot, but no, I thought it sucked the acting was bad and it was way too long.

But admittedly it must be simply generational and a taste issue on my part, just like people have different favorite Bond actors. I guess I just feel burned about the newer ones.

Well, it's over.

It was good.

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

Considering the massive shit-show that were the Prequels, just being 'good' honestly seems almost like a miracle in and of itself.

Please do not read this if you didn't see the Movie.
I'm just kinda dumbfounded that they went with a Death Star 3.0. I disliked Rey, she was, imo, a Mary Sue.

It's not "good". The movie is great. Isn't perfect by any means but it's much better than the crappy prequels. That in itself is awesome. The franchise is in the right direction. Star Wars is back.

Theater isn't too bad considering its 9am. Well before. Smile

I went to a 9a showing today, too. Loved it. Do have a nit but will wait till spoilers are commonplace.
