RE: The Gun Thread
All the big guns are in the Navy. Big Grin

We called 'em Christian-makers 'cause you just pull up off the coast, fire a few rounds, and the pagans come running asking "Where do we sign up to be Christian, boss?"

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

I love shooting, my pride and joy is my cheapo 500 dollar Romanian WASR 10-63 GP. I've wanted an AK-47 my whole life.

I have a few others, but they aren't as fun Wink

RE: The Gun Thread
Just added a DPMS AR-15 to the collection. It was on sale 25% off and it was the tax-free weekend in MA, so no 6.5% sales tax. Big savings.

Pictures to follow.

Those were BB guns next to the Nazi railway gun the Schwerer Gustav.

It could fire a 80cm dia, 16,000 lb shell over 20 miles. The were used in the Siege of Sevastopol to destroy underwater ammunition magazines.

But of course neither of those compared with the M65 'Atomic Annie' which could fire a 15kt nuclear weapon.

I thought MA had an assault weapons ban prohibiting the sale of AR-15s.

Sounds like fun. Might make a good .300 Blackout conversion project.

No ARs aren't banned, they just can't have more than one of:
  • pistol grip
  • flash suppressor
  • collapsible stock
  • bayonet lug
  • grenade launcher

So mine has a pistol grip, muzzle brake, and pinned collapsible stock.

As for .30 cal, I already have a DPMS LR-308, so I'm good.

Provided you complete the Class III paperwork on one and abide by state/federal law you can buy one.

This is an M203 40mm breech loading grenade launcher, which mounts on the forend of the AR-15/M-16 family of weapons.

The grenades are also available to the public, though they're pretty expensive and require a the possession of a Class III tax stamp to purchase.

You occasionally see people at machine gun shoots firing M203s.

If you want the look of the M203 but don't want the hassle of a Class III weapon, Cobray sells a knockoff called the M2037, which looks like an M203, but fires harmless 37mm flares used in Marine signal guns.
