I just saw king diamond 3 weeks ago with slayer. I can't believe slayer headlined over diamond. I didn't stick around for slayer, I've seen them enough times and is only half the band note anyways.

I've seen so many crappy metal bands lately, it felt great to finally see one worthy of the price of a ticket.

RE: The Headbangers thread
A funny story, before I came to reason and abandoned xianity, I was in a "backslidden state and hanging out in my local pub in Riverside, California when someone I knew came in with some friends. He had a lady with him that was all tatted up and we got to talking about old school metal and really hit it off. We all ended up back at her house later that night (which was fucking huge!) and it was there that I learned the woman I had been chatting with was Ayesha King, Kerry King's wife!. He was in Texas doing a photo shoot for their new album World Painted Blood. She was cool as fuck and even let me play one of Kerry's guitars (it was a double neck Warlock that was black with a red crackle design). She also showed me gaunlets that Kerry was working on for selling to fans. They had a Jaegermeister shot machine in the kitchen along with kitchen jars that were labled "upoers" "downers" "viagra". When I left in the morning she loaded up my trunk with Jaegermeister shirts and gave me a copy of the very first Slaytanic Warmacht newsletter. After that I ran into her and Kerry quite a few times. He is shockingly short if you ever meet him in person. He is also pretty quiet and reserved. Just don't play darts against him, he will eat your fucking lunch!

Some other things I forgot to mention, they have a bull mastiff named Raider, a shit ton of snakes kept in feeder racks and a funny little marsupial called a sugar glider. She offered to give me one of their granite pythons which I guess is6a breed Kerry created. I didn't take it because I have a horrible track record of keeping reptiles alive. If you are ever in Riverside, find Ponderosa street in the Woodcrest district and you just might find them. Unfortunately, the pub that we hung out at (The Royal Falconer) was permanently closed the last time I was in town. I'm not sure where they drink now but she told me that Tom hangs out at the Angels sports bar in Corona

Son and I listened to this on the way home from an open-mic I finished about an hour ago:

That is the gnarliest breakdown in metal.

A headbangers thread on an atheist forum and no one has posted Bloodbath's Mock the Cross?

And since Åkerfeldt lost his balls I've been filling the void with Slugdge. Blackened death sludge Lovecraft inspired duo obsessed with mollusks whose songs are about slugs destroying humanity, what's not to like?

Nice! While I do enjoy Lombardo's work especially on tracks like Silent Scream, Bostaph is a better drummer imho. I'm so glad he is back in the lineup Thumbsup
