The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
To me, "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams is the foremost piece of atheist literature. Having never read this book I would have lingered in the limbo between religiosity and atheism forever. "The Guide" itself is an allegory for the Bible (or, rather, how the Bible would have been if it actually was a useful guidebook for navigating life) It eloquently puts every argument for the existence of God to the reader and then hilariously shows why it is ridiculous.

"'The Guide' is infallible, reality is frequently inaccurate"
