Cranking up the awesomeness;

Awesomeness at maximum level;

Best and worst of Ferdinand .....
Best

Worst
Ferdinand: Everyone from British is so, like, fucking retarded.

It is an awesome film. I saw it in the theater when it first came out. The sequel is supposed to come out sometime this year. I believe Jim Carrey has a part in it as some military-type superhero.

Here are some pictures of the sequel:

That's Jim Carey as "The Colonel",

Hit Girl is back and has a very brutal fight with a Russian bodybuilder that will top all the fights Hit Girl had in the orignal film.

In this movie (like in the comic) Red Mist evolves into a supervillian: The Mother F**ker.

Should be one of the better sequels of the year if it's half as good as the comic it's based on.

Kick Ass 2 releases in theatres on July 19th.

The only thing I know about this movie. And I'm content with leaving it at that Angel

RE: The Kick Ass Appreciation Thread
I Just got back from seeing Kick-Ass 2, I Liked it, though obviously it wasn't as good as the first one.

Pros

-The Motherfucker was really funny, easily the best character in the film.

-Some really good action scenes.

-Jim Carrey was great as Colonel Stars and Stripes.

-The Shark.

-"I Guess evil dick is limp".

-"I'll be Immortal, like an evil Jesus!"

-Hit Girl was great, as always.

Cons

-The whole "Mean Girls" plot with Mindy was terrible, the SIC Stick was cringe-worthy.

-I Wish they'd been able to do the big fight scene in Times Square like in the comic.

-The Ending left much to be desired.

RE: The Kick Ass Appreciation Thread
I liked Kick-Ass, but Hit Girl kept the movie from being great, because she had a superpower - super-strength. In the first film as a little girl she could kick a grown man across a room and cut through bone with the smallest effort, exhibiting strength greater than Wolverine. I get that she has been trained by her father to be a great warrior, but that was just dumb. Her impossible strength ruined the regular-people-fighting-crime concept.

If something can be destroyed by the truth, it might be worth destroying.

Not to go off topic or derail, but the Wolverine movies take away from the strength Wolverine actually has. With a metal skeleton, no human should be able to successfully hit him without shattering bones. Thumbsup

OK, back to Kick Ass Appreciation. Big Grin
