So, does that mean you have a NES or that you bought a re-release? Not a big question, just wanna know if anyone else here on this forum is into owning retro Nintendo/Sega stuff; I'm thinking about buying an NES.

Why, just buy it off Ebay, plenty of folks own and are willing to sell it

I have them on virtual console. I don't have a Super NES, and it may be too late to download A Link to the Past.

You mean a emulator ? If not, I have no idea what device you're speaking of.
If you're really desperate to play it, just download a SNES emulator and find A Link To The Past rom file. And from there, it's pretty much the same.

I'm pretty sure they re-released the game for the GBA. Infact, pretty much all the 16-bit orignals was ported to the GBA; Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island and many more.

Virtual Console is a download service on the Wii and the 3DS. On my Wii, I downloaded Zelda II And Majora's Mask. The Gameboy games and the Original The Legend of Zelda, I downloaded on my 3DS. Since the Wii is being replaced with the Wii U, the virtual console service may not be around for much longer.

Then you have three options:
1: Get a SNES and a copy of the game
2: Get a GBA and a copy of the game
3: Download an emulator on your computer (pretty sure they made one for phones and tablets too) and just find the correct rom file. It might not be a very genuine feeling, but it's free, easy to do and always avaliable.

Currently playing Spirit Tracks on my DSi XL, enough time to- and from work.
Also played Phantom Hourglass, Ocarina of Time and Link to the Past.

It's probably in my top 10 favorite series, but it can't get to my all-time number one: Metroid.

I remember keeping a save on Link's Awakening at the end of the game before the wind fish so I could listen to Ballad of the Wind Fish whenever I wanted. My favorite Zelda game.

Ahhhhhhh, Zelda music. When I had to choose between Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, I chose Seasons simply because it has The Song of Storms in it.

RE: The Legend of Zelda
Love Zelda. It was my second video game, after I got bored with Mario Bros. That took about half an hour. I still have the NES emulator and 2 roms, both Zelda. I cannot count how many times I've played through them both.

I may as well start the inevitable repetition of this meme...
