RE: The Legend of Zelda
Legend of Zelda's map. I'm talking gold cartridge. Never has a map been so used throughout my family. Just opening it, seeing that it had been taped over in each folding corner so that it would survive countless times being referenced by fellow family members. Places where one was supposed to set fire to a hedge or blast to get a secret passageway, hell, even the gambling location was highlighted.

The music. Ooh the music and its incessant droning; always one kid humming along to the tune while it was being played.

I chewed the shit out of the controllers in rage when I died. There was no save option (somehow it didn't work on my NES) so you had to be committed to play a round. If you were like me, you knew the couch wouldn't serve you well so you were on your stomach getting carpet burn on your belly. Jesus Christ just thinking about this game makes my heart beat faster.

Lots more shit but yeah, heart. STOP!

Hey, remember that time when everyone was looking for the triforce in ocarina of time?

Did anyone else feel like a million years old when you read this?

Yeah, it sent a shiver down my spine... and I'm not old at all.

Not just the power that can be found in the Fused Shadows, or the Instruments of the Wind Fish, or even The Master Sword, but the power within yourself. That is why the series is so beloved by so many people, that is why Link is my avatar icon, and that is why I have created this thread. Type your various experiences onto this thread for all to see, and let these games' legacy burn throughout the forums, for all to see. Yes

It's such a nice charming classic series to me. Just hearing the music from "SNES Zelda A Link to the past" brings a warm feeling when just being a kid and having fun was all about these days.
