I seen some pretty heated debates by atheists on what exactly atheism is. Even that "lack of belief in God" isn't universal. Some atheists believe God does not exist for instance.

You still don't understand set theory. The intersection of those sets is "lack of belief in any gods".

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

Maybe it's just them getting hopeful with their batshit crazy religion but it always look to me like that thing's about ten seconds from launch.

It reminds me of ...

By a group of professionals, no.

But I've lived in Oklahoma my entire life...we performed it in elementary school.

Which role?

I played Will Parker.

It's a fugly building, but you are dismissing the very real fact that he made a statement of how religion basically thrives on wasting money on expensive and impressive architecture.

You are missing the point, any funds spent on an imaginary god worship is a waste of money.

AND the building is still fuck all ugly. It a fucking barn for christ sake. The only one uglier than this is the one in Chouteau which is dark gray trimmed in blood red. Facepalm It looks like a satanic temple. Which would be funny if it was but it isn't.

Heh, well it is a barn for Christ's sake Smile

I'm homophobic in the same way that I'm arachnophobic. I'm not scared of gay people but I'm going to scream if I find one in my bath.

I'm. Also homophobic in the same way I'm arachnophobic. I'm scared of spiders but I'd still fuck'em.

pffft...peasants...here's the church I went to when I was growing up.

**The south is full of churches in metal buildings and other repurposed structures. There's one not far from me that used to be a feed store.**

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

We could play count the crosses on that church.

That's 'Basilica' to you buddy. Tongue

It would take you a week to count all the crosses inside and out. Undecided

Speaking of desperation to draw people in, checked up on my old church:

We did not use fog machines and spotlights when I was there.

Need to think of a witty signature.

Actually, one of my favorite pieces of architecture is a tiny little church I came across during one of my environmental science field trips, in the tiny little town of Ulysses, in southwest Kansas, about 20 miles from anything... the Mary Queen of Peace Church:

It's tiny! Note the truck for scale.
