This is the place for all things peanut butter, from the how to eat, go-withers to the kinky applications (oh my!). We will also include all nut butters just so as not to leave anyone out of the butter battle.

I woke up... and all of a sudden there was a peanut butter thread!

It's just that peanut butter loves me, and I love it! I think I do need a place to talk about peanut butter (and related nut butters) and its awesome enough to deserve its own thread. Big Grin

My strategy of ignoring my problems until they disappear never seems to work out for me. ...I'll try to get around to dealing with that in the near future.

Don't let those gnomes and their illusions get you down. They're just gnomes and illusions.

Umm, yeah. I need those. Now.

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

During one of my pregnancies I could not get enough open-faced peanut butter sandwiches with salt. I don't even know where that pregnancy craving came from...I had never before or ever since eaten an open-faced peanut butter sandwich with salt. Undecided

I love PB&J on toast. Crunchy peanut butter is preferred. I have been eating that for as long as I can remember.

See here they are, the bruises, some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. -JF

This morning I had a toasted bagel w/ peanut butter. Whatever I was doing with bagels before, no more.

Peanut butter. I'm not sure how I feel about it. In small quantities, mixed with chocolate or jam or added in cake, I guess it's fine. Anything more than that, I don't know.

However, I visited Turkey this year and I was having breakfast one day and I was offered peanut butter along with it. I thought "eh, peanut butter, I'm not that excited", but I tried it anyway and I'm glad I did. Apparently, Turkish people are wise enough not to add 10 pounds of salt in their peanut butter but rather a bit of sugar, making it perfect for pb&j. It was divine. I haven't to this day found any kind of peanut butter that tasted like that one. They are all too salty for me.

I also found something even better while I was there; hazelnut butter Drooling
