I once asked a lady at work if she was front or back door, meaning which exit are you leaving through, I think she took it the wrong way judging by the look she gave me.

Albert Einstein's 1930 credo in which he said "I am a devoutly religious man". This is often used by theists to assert that Einstein was not an atheist.

But... the full passage reads "To sense that behind everything that can be experienced there is something that our minds cannot grasp, whose beauty and sublimity reaches us only indirectly: this is religiousness. In this sense... I am a devoutly religious man."

(Although Einstein also denied he was a pantheist; very confusing?)

I'm a creationist... I believe that man created God.

He was always rather coy about his religion AFAIK. Probably a good idea for a guy who was in the public eye so much.
