The Religion of Peace Strikes Again
What kind of wiring does your brain need to justify this type of behavior?

Taliban attack wounds teen activist blogger
Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- Malala Yousufzai's courageous blogging against the Taliban set her apart from other 14-year-old Pakistani girls.

Growing up in a region once dominated by the Islamic extremists, she knew the fear associated with the word Taliban.

One of her fears came to pass Tuesday, when gunmen sought her out and opened fire on her school van, leaving her seriously wounded along with two other classmates...

If Jesus died for our sins, why is there still sin? If man was created from dust, why is there still dust? If Americans came from Europe, why are there still Europeans?

No, how could this be? Well obviously this is a tiny minority of Muslims and not part of a larger problem. It's not like the whole Middle East has a problem with the repression and torture of women, the murdering of homosexuals, torture and persecution against non-Muslims, and governments who turn a blind eye to these abuses or help carry them out. (which one is the sarcastic smiley icon?)

RE: The Religion of Peace Strikes Again
You've just got to love these peaceful statements from the perpetrators:

Quote:The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have taken responsibility of for the assassination attempt and told a Pakistani newspaper that they will target her again if she survives.

What could this 14 year old girl done that is so threatening? Why shoot her again if she survives? Apparently the 14 year old girl is an advocate of education for women, an issue which is highly controversial in the Middle East. She has also spoken out against some of the other abuses that go on inside Islam, and believes in having a secular government.

Quote:A spokesman for the TTP told Pakistani newspaper The Express Tribune that Malala was shot because she was ’secular-minded lady’ and that this should serve as a warning for other young people like her.

How brave, grown men with guns targeting children for speaking their minds about their right to receive an education.

Can anyone give an estimate on how long Islam will get out their dark ages?

Guys, come one, come them some slack.
Clearly teenage girls are offensive and threatening!

I am of the opinion that we simply should totally leave the ME alone and let it sort it's own shit out, when they've blown each other up enough for the smart ones to take power and stabilise the region we start doing shit with them again... Or they'll weaken each other enough so that we can sweep in and fix their shit ourselves.

Clearly at this point everything secular is just going to piss the crazies off even more...

Actually, to the Taliban, the idea of a woman standing up for her rights is probably the most frightening thing in the world.
