All of the Democrats claiming that the Republicans are 'terrorists' or that they are negotiating with bombs strapped to their chests, and only because they disagree about the debt limit or the government shut down. That isn't as dumb as what this wacko said, but it is still dumb. Everyone has their wackos.

Who used the word terrorist?

It has beencompared to a hostage situation and I think that is a valid comparison.

RE: The Religious Right
I kind of like seeing things like the church lady here. I'm optimistic enough to hope that enough rational, moderate middle-of-the-road folks will see this and recoil. That lady is a great anecdotal example of why society is better served by moving away from religious belief in general. Hope everyone sees it, and others like it.

Here Nancy Pelosi calls Republicans 'legislative arsonists' because the Republicans want the federal government to increase the debt ceiling by 988 billion dollars, while the Democrats want to increase the debt ceiling by 1.057 trillion dollars. So, that's 6.5 % less of an increase by the Republicans. This is pure rhetoric and idiocy: http://youtu.be/iWgve8KV__I

Here Sen. Bob Menendez calls Republicans terrorists: http://youtu.be/a69wb5MPpfc

This is not meant to endorse the Republicans, who I don't care for. But the Democrats should not get a free ride either. Both the left and the right sides in this country have crazy people who spout bullshit.

Here a Democratic consultant says Republicans are negotiating with bombs strapped to their chests: http://youtu.be/X_8oaOdL2gc

I'm sorry. That does not live up to the kind of batshit that the Tea Party or the crazy cat lady says in the video.

I'm not making reference to degree of craziness, just that crazies are everywhere. Now, as for degree of craziness, no one beats the religious.

True, there are plenty forms of crazy everywhere you look. I just view the religious right the more dangerous, the more likely to cause harm to the 1st amendment and are willfully ignorant of its meaning and history. Ignorant to the fact that the US was never meant to be "christian nation".

True, the right is being dragged down by these lunatics and they have been for years. The smarter members of the GOP are trying to rid their party of them, but they are having trouble.
