The Rev is pulling his kids out of private school
...and going back to home schooling (private school and home school is the only viable option where he lives because of the decadent conditions of the public schools).

They are having a school sponsored trip to see Ken Ham, and he doesn't want his kids to be filled with lies 1) about science 2) about theology.

The school only teaches a YEC point of view and teaches evolution as false. He wants his kids to learn science from an Evolutionary Creationist's point of view.

I would do the same. However, I won't have to worry about this, though... probably going to send my kids to public school.

Science?
When does science indicate that a soul and original sin entered the natural order?

I remember that happening a lot to Witness kids when I was young. I was lucky - my parents didn't have the attention span for it nor the patience.

Ah, ok, thanks.

Why doesn't he want his kids to learn science from an evolutionary evolutionist's point of view?

He would rather that than YEC - so, it's just a matter of incorporating theological reconciliation with it - something they won't get in public schools.

There is also the stupid stigma that evolution is evil and against God.

It is much simpler to just learn about science free of religious delusion.

Do they have any schools there where they teach critical-thinking so a child can make up their own mind and are not force-fed the beliefs selected by the school body or (s)elected by the parents?
