Thanks... I think Brian is probably too busy balancing music, astrophysics and conservation to be able to commit to something long term like that.

But I can't really point to anyone better suited.

Lucky you didn't suggest Brian Cox.

Cox isn't bad, but he's not an astronomer, he's a particle physicist. But Brian May has long been associated with the program, and he was a very close friend of Patrick Moore. He's trying to get Patrick's home in Selsey turned into a museum right now.
