The Storm Thread
Although I'm sure a thread like this exists somewhere back there, I kinda want a place dedicated to the awesomeness of lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes, hail, blizzards and what not without searching too long. Post videos, pictures or stories about what comes from the clouds.

I would also say that I have all the respect for the twisted duality of natural disasters, as what might look beautiful in one moment might turn into a deadly nightmare that changes lives forever.

With that being said, I want to start with a video of an insane ground vortex that looks almost unreal:

3:00; I've never seen something quite like that.

RE: The Storm Thread
I've always admired the weather and have been able to accurately warn my coworkers that work outside when a cell is about to hit, without even looking at radars (I mean come on, big giant menacing cloud with a mothership formation beneath is ominously getting bigger...kinda a no brainer you'd think).

Meteorology is my second favorite subject, after biology.

Wanted to be a storm chaser, but my anxiety probably won't allow for that!

Ignorance is not to be ignored.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

There will be a lot more from this uploader; Pecos Hank is a great chaser.

This is a "dust devil" formed above an outback grass fire near Mt Conner, Alice Springs (Australia)...

I believe this is the only time one has been caught on camera detaching itself from it's mother cloud, and grabbing it's ankles. Ohmy

Tornado takes a bow!
