The Supermarine Spitfire turns 80 years old.
To many, the Spitfire represents the beauty of design meeting function. Truly a classic.

The mighty Spitfire.

Once a year the Marathon airport hosts a week of vintage planes and every year a B-17 Flying Fortress, a B-24J Liberator and a P-51 Mustang fly in. I see them over my home and the deep grumble makes my hair stand on end.
For a mere $450 they’ll take you up for 30 minutes.

For that experience, I'd pay that without even a wince.

Mind you, I'll go a mile out of my way to find a parking spot without a meter...
