The Transition of Power & the Education of a President
After reading this piece What Will a Trump Presidency Mean for Science?
http://www.livescience.com/56822-what-tr...picks=true

I’m left wondering how do the details work? Does every incoming president get a tutorial given by the leading experts on what is what and how things work?

As I go down that list I can only hope that intelligent and sober professionals put together a Powerpoint presentation that dispels whatever erroneous pre-conceived ideas are bouncing around in his head.

Is that how this works? Does anyone know?

“I am quite sure now that often, very often, in matters concerning religion and politics a man’s reasoning powers are not above the monkey’s.”~Mark Twain
“Ocean: A body of water occupying about two-thirds of a world made for man - who has no gills.”~ Ambrose Bierce

The only way it will have any effect on Pence would be:

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

I found this explaining the interpersonal mechanics
http://presidentialtransition.org/timeli.../index.php

But what I want to know is do military personnel, intelligence officers, experts on whatever the topic brief the incoming administration on the realities and current state of affairs and the repercussions of any implemented action?

Trump has said some truly ignorant things on every topic, who gets to educate him?
