RE: The Trump Impeachment Thread
It's so totally riveting. Watching this consummate "deal maker" making this amazing deal, to prevent a gov't shut down. Weeping

From page 142:

Related story, from NY Mag: NRA is part of the Trump-Russia Scandal now.

Have you read through the entire transcript? I've begun to read it. How many pages it it?

Not all of it yet sadly. Sad I think it's around 165 pages total. A Canadian friend sent me both links and told me to skip ahead to page 142 to read that bit.

Need to think of a witty signature.

If he laundered money, the evidence in Mueller's hands, will have been obtained legally. You think these people are amateurs ? If there was an investigation of Trump going on, under Comey, you bet your sweet ass he was controlling it. Trump publically ASKED for help from the Russians to get emails. Dude can't keep his trap shut.

We know for a fact that Trump was susceptible to blackmail, and in fact DID pay blackmail ($130,000) to his porn friend, "Stormy" before the election. Others who also thought he was susceptible, therefore in fact, had their fears about him, borne out. It's said by some, there are at least 100 other "Stormies", and if there were many others, the likelyhood that Russia also has records of his known behavior patterns, from when he was often in Russia, is at least worth looking at.

So, Mueller and friends grilled Sessions for hours.

Sessions always strikes me as a weasel. Trump also insulted Sessions quite a bit. Makes me wonder if Sessions would be up for revenge? Probably not, he is too happy implementing his racist shit.

* He didn't. As Bucky said, a Republican was in charge of the FBI, anyway, and it's not like there's any shortage of evidence to say that they had just cause for investigating him.

It's what they call "fruit of the poisonous tree."

So what? Evidence gathered illegally is discarded regularly without killing investigations.

Not if the basis of the entire investigation or the original warrants were acquired incorrectly.

"Weaselling out" of a jam is a phrase for a reason. If Mueller's got solid evidence that Sessions committed perjury in denying to Congress any Russian contact, Sessions could well assist the investigation broadening.

Pee tapes galore, methinks. And maybe a poop tape or two.

We already know that did not happen. When Fusion went to the FBI, after doing it's totally legal and normal work in it's normal fashion, someone from the campaign had already gotten there first. The campaign was ALREADY being warned by the FBI about potential attempts to infiltrate it. You actually think the FBI doesn't know how to get a proper warrant ? They were afraid Trump was susceptible to blackmail. He was, and he proved it. He paid $130,000 that we know of, so far, (and it was a potential crime, in that the contribution to the campaign ... or wherever the money came from, was not reported). All the financial crimes and money-laundering uncovered will never be judged to be fruit of the forbidden tree. He was a crook for decades. They probably have so much evidence, they don't know what to do with all of it.

At this point I don't think they're even investigating collusion or money laundering. They might have been at first but none of the indictments so far have even mentioned it.The top story on CNN right now says that Mueller wants to interview Trump about the Comey and Flynn firing. Which probably points to the collusion investigation went nowhere, and he's trying to see if he can get Trump on obstruction of justice. This will be very hard to prove, considering the president has vast authority to fire executive branch positions. Even if Mueller finds Trump tried to get Comey to leave Flynn alone which is of course obstruction of justice, Mueller would have no authority over Trump to do anything about it. Would the GOP impeach Trump over such a small issue when the real investigation was to look for collusion? Would the bigger story of no collusion dwindle the findings that Trump obstructed justice? If all Mueller wants to talk to Trump about is Comey, thats good news for Trump. He'll scream "no collusion!!!!" all day and rally his base around the fact that Mueller and Comey are buddies and he's the victim of a witch hunt.

Death is a debt we all must pay...
