The UK will grind to a halt....
....as up to ten inches of snow have been forecast to fall tonight Ohmy

Obviously the forecasters cant allways get it right as we were meant to have more snow than we did last week.

Its gonna be funny though to watch if it does come down really really heavy.

I suppose in our defence we don't often get snow.

Ten inches, im sure there are people on this place that scoff at the number.

It only takes three inches of snow to shut down Portland.

Pfft, we'll be fine. My only worry is if the buses get called off, how will I get to the fancy dress party I'm going to tomorrow night?!

My daughter was in Seattle where people phoned in to work "snowed in". Her response was "snowed in" is when you can't find your car under the snow in Manitoba.

They allways focus on the main roads so you could be ok. Why dont you go to your fancy dress party as a sledge, good pick up line when offering ladies a lift home Wink

Crap, Bemsy - sucks to be the UK. But hey, if everything grinds to a halt, doesn't that mean you won't have to go to work? Consider Silver lining in there somewhere.

I'm feeling pretty good that here, Saturday it is supposed to be sunny... and 57 degrees! Yay!! Smile

Of course, the next day it's supposed to be back down in the 30 degree range - but still sunny. I can't really complain in the middle of January when around here the usual used to be around 8 to 10 inches every couple of weeks.
